The colours of Little India

Finally picking up my D600 again after a (almost) 4 months hiatus, I was glad to be back on the streets capturing the moments that matters again.

I decided to take a trip down to Little India on a particular Sunday to see what is the hype surrounding the place for photography. Needless to say, the hype was well justified. It does feel a bit intimidating at times, a small guy walking around with a DSLR hanging around his neck does attract attention, often too much for comfort. I think walking around in more than two should be safer, especially when walking through the numerous back alleys.

However, the life and energy from the place more than makes up for it. The buildings are colourful and people there are generally accepting of having a camera pointed at them. The life and buzz within the small community is something unlike elsewhere.
