A festive Lunar New Year

Every Chinese New Year (CNY), the tiny alleys of Chinatown will be filled with throngs of people and stalls lining up both sides of the walkway, selling CNY goodies like house decorations, Taiwan jellies, peanuts and many others.

This year was no exception, as I headed down to Chinatown 1 week after its official opening of the CNY ceremony. The crowd, though unbearably huge, was still considered small, as a bigger crowd can be expected on the weeks leading to CNY as people rush for their shopping and busk in the CNY festive mood.

The opportunity for street and capturing the human behaviours are needless to say, huge and aplenty. Although the streets there get to life after dark, the lights from the stall meant there was still sufficient light for comfortable ISO controls.
